Pope to Pelosi: Abortion is a Sin and You’re an Ass
Okay, Pope Benedict XVI didn’t exactly call Democrat Donkey Mascot and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi an Ass – but he must have been thinking something along those lines in a manifestly spiritual light. He gave her a nuanced rebuke of her skewed Catholic “beliefs.” I wish he would have just slapped her.
She showed up at Vatican City – this woman who calls herself an “ardent, practicing Catholic” – and got her comeuppance from the pope. (Atta boy, your Holiness.) The “ardent, practicing Catholic” had told Tom Brokaw during “Meet the Press” last year about a theological defense (from Augustine no less) which gave her the a-okay to support for abortion rights. In the interview she said claimed that the Catholic Church itself wasn’t clear about the exact moment when life begins and guessed that it was around “three months” after conception. Brokaw didn’t even challenge her on that WTF moment.
Benedict XVI told her that Catholic politicians have a duty to protect life “at all stages of its development.”
Oh, Yes We Vati-Can!
Of course if Her Wickedness is ever ex-communicated from the Church for such views, and ends up standing in flaming excrement in the ninth circle of Hell to pay for her sins, I’ll likely be right next to her. Forgive me. It’s not a subject to joke about because abortion is murder and the Church has always been clear on this and has always condemned abortion as a grave evil.
And one more thing: Who paid for this trip? Was it the American taxpayer financing that big government jet Her Wickedness insisted she must have?
