America’s Demise is Exaggerated

Don’t listen to all the pessimists about how bad we have it in the US. At least we don’t live in China or India. From illiteracy and grinding poverty, to basic infrastructure and intangible wealth, America is still number one – by a huge margin.

“There are at least five reasons why neither India nor China will knock America off its economic perch anytime soon, at least not by the only measure that matters: Offering the best life to the most people.”

Well, Which Is It?

If they spent an extra trillion dollars and don’t know where it went, how can they know that cutting a measly $61 billion from the budget will “stall” the  recovery?

Public Unions Force Taxpayers to Fund Democrats

February 23, 2011 · Posted in Not Politics as Usual · Comments Off

President Obama told a Wisconsin TV reporter that Governor Scott Walker was staging “an assault on unions,” added that “public employee unions make enormous contributions to our states and our citizens.”

Oops. He really meant to say the public unions make enormous contributions to the Democratic Party and the Obama campaign. In 2008, public unions gave Democrats some $400 million. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, the biggest public employee union, gave Democrats $90 million in the 2010 cycle.

Rent-A-Mob Illusion to Go Viral

February 21, 2011 · Posted in Not Politics as Usual · Comments Off

Just as Obama’s Organizing for America, as well as SEIU, bus in hundreds of hired demonstrators for rallies and demonstrations such as the current one in Madison WI, there is now a call to fool people online into believing there is a majority consensus on liberal sides of issues.

“The US government is offering private intelligence companies contracts to create software to manage ‘Fake People’ to create the illusion of consensus on controversial issues. The contract calls for the development of ‘Persona Management Software’ which would create  a variety of distinct fake profiles online. The job listing was discussed in recently leaked emails from the private security firm HBGary after an attack by internet activist last week.”

Illusion. Illusion. Illusion. It takes a community organizer to bring the illusion that he is going to ‘paint the nation purple.’

Defund the Obama Czars!

February 18, 2011 · Posted in Not Politics as Usual · Comments Off

The House GOP has approved an amendment to a government-spending bill that would block funding for the Czars, the three dozen or so Obama personal advisors who duplicate the job of cabinet positions.

“I think this sends a strong signal to the president that we are tired of him running this shadow government, where they have got these czars that are literally circumventing the accountability and scrutiny that goes with Senate confirmation,” said Rep Steve Scalise (R-La), who wrote the amendment.

That’s great news – a small glimmer of hope that a lot of this crap an be reversed. The House will also defund the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules.

FAIL: Smart Diplomacy

February 17, 2011 · Posted in Revolution · Comments Off

Hope and Change:  It is not just American tourists abroad that are in danger, our official diplomats in countries that rely on US government handouts to stay in power have no immunity:

Amid President Obama’s vow to enact “smart diplomacy” and to raise U.S. stature overseas, it’s never been more dangerous to be an American abroad. From Tehran to Havana, tyrants are taking U.S. hostages.

One after another, our nation’s enemies are moving to make an example of Americans abroad. Ostensibly it’s about the rule of law. But with trumped-up charges, these acts are provocations.

It may be because Obama’s “smart diplomacy” amounts to shunning friends, appeasing tyrants, deferring to international law and imagining America as no more special than any other nation. Fact is, Americans are being singled out because rogue regimes are confident that they have nothing to fear from us any longer.

Wow. Read the whole thing.

Deconstructing Obama

February 15, 2011 · Posted in Barack Obama · Comments Off

Is Obama’s life story a wholly constructed fabrication? That’s the premise of Jack Cahill’s New Book, Deconstructing Obama: The Life, Loves, and Letters of America’s First Postmodern President, which was released today.

The focus of the book is on the two books Obama published about his life when he was still an unknown.

The problem is, when you hear Obama speak, both in prepared text and in interviews, and if you understand the basics of the Flesch-Kincaid readability test, you immediately understand that his speeches are actually written at an 8th grade level.

So what is this about, this genius of Barack Obama, the man that cannot do a speech without a teleprompter, who was touted as a law professor but that is questionable, who shows very little knowledge of the Constitution? This president, who we are told by Obamabots that he is superior to every other president in history, yet it not among the 17 US presidents that belong to Phi Beta Kappa?

Writer and literary detective Cashill discovered months before the November 2008 election: nothing in Obama’s history suggested he was capable of writing either Dreams of My Father or The Audacity of Hope. Cashill concludes that the real craftsman behind Dreams is Bill Ayers.

But there are other telling signs that Obama’s mysterious past was not revealed in Dreams. In fact, Deconstructing Obama show that much of Obama’s life story appears to be a wholly constructed fabrication.

Leftist Admitting They Were “Duped” by Obama

February 14, 2011 · Posted in Barack Obama · Comments Off

Hard Core Leftist Andrew Sullivan on Obama:  “To all those under 30 who worked so hard to get this man elected, know this: he just screwed you over. He thinks you’re fools. Either the US will go into default because of Obama’s cowardice, or you will be paying far far more for far far less because this president has no courage when it counts. He let you down. On the critical issue of America’s fiscal crisis, he represents no hope and no change. Just the same old Washington politics he once promised to end.”

If Obama has lost Andrew Sullivan, he really is losing the left.

Progressivism: No Longer Good Business

February 9, 2011 · Posted in Left Wing Media · Comments Off

Roger Simon at Pajamas Media:

Arianna has read the tea leaves. Progressivism, which was riding the crest of popularity on the election of Obama, is over. It is no longer good for business. And just as the stock market is said to be a leading indicator on business cycles, I submit Arianna’s track record has shown her to be a leading indicator on the zeitgeist. She knows when to get out. Obama, and by extension progressivism, is fini. It is best left to fringey looneys like Code Pink. Put simply: Progressivism is no longer good business.

Now this does not mean Arianna won’t tilt left publicly, at least somewhat. That’s what’s done in “polite society.” But in the real world of business, it’s over. Out with the healthcare crisis, in with divorce and Lindsay Lohan. Forget the puffery about “Citizen Journalism” coming to AOL. This is for show, to continue getting free content while suckering some of the old, disgruntled audience from the original HuffPo. This combination very well could succeed.
