Photo Show of Sarah Palin Debuts in Rome
Sarah Palin, the Alaska governor, former beauty queen, and one of the most attractive politicians in the world is the subject of a photo exhibit debuting today (2 Feb 09) at Rome’s Villa Borghese Gallery. The pictures will share space in the museum along side works of art by Caravaggio, Raphael, and Bernini.
Judy Patrick, the photographer that produced the hot selling 2009 Sarah Palin 2009 calendar, selected 30 pictures from her collection of the governor. Patrick is a long time friend of Palin and has enjoyed a career boost thanks to the access she has been granted by the governor – a woman she acknowledges as more photogenic than, say, Michelle Obama.
”[Sarah]‘s been at the end of my lens so many times that I couldn’t think any differently,” she said.
Patrick said her favorite shot was one of Palin wrapped in the American flag. ”We took it a few days after the September 11 attacks. It was a very difficult moment, we were really worried. It was a way to express our patriotism and it’s a photo I’m very fond of,” she said.
