Pirates Die Strangely After Hijacking Iranian Ship

A disturbing report in a South African newspaper: The Times – Pirates die strangely after taking Iranian ship.

A tense standoff has developed in waters off Somalia over an Iranian merchant ship laden with a mysterious cargo that was hijacked by pirates.

Somali pirates suffered skin burns, lost hair and fell gravely ill “within days” of boarding the MV Iran Deyanat. Some of them died.

Andrew Mwangura, the director of the East African Seafarers’ Assistance Programme, told the Sunday Times: “We don’t know exactly how many, but the information that I am getting is that some of them had died. There is something very wrong about that ship.”

The vessel’s declared cargo consists of “minerals” and “industrial products”. But officials involved in negotiations over the ship are convinced that it was sailing for Eritrea to deliver small arms and chemical weapons to Somalia’s Islamist rebels.

But Of course, we won’t hear anything about this in the MSM, will we?

Obama Sends Truth Goons to BitchSlip Missourians

September 28, 2008 · Posted in Barak Obama · Comments Off

The Barack Obama campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who “lies or runs a misleading TV ad” during the presidential campaign; here’s a video report. His Wholiness doesn’t like anyone in the Show Me State to have an opinion that differs from his own!

Missouri Governor Matt Blunt has issued a statement about these Nazi tactics and on the Obama campaign’s abusive use of Missouri law enforcement.

And here: The self-described Obama Truth Squad continues to laugh at the law and stomp on anyone who dares to criticize The Messiah. That includes the internet.

Don’t call us Stalinist or we’ll shut you down.

The last word on the Palin Pay-for-rape-kit smear

This is the best researched article you’ll find on the Wasilla Police Department charging a fee to rape victims for DNA lab kit. NOT! It didn’t happen before, during, or after Palin was there serving as mayor. Read Jim Geraghty’s article on the Wasilla Debunking Kit.

What?? No Marxist Rock Band?

Thousands of Floridians lined up to see Sarah Palin today in Florida. A crowd estimated at 60,000 people showed up to see Governor Palin in a community of about 75,000. (WPTV)

Women supporters filled the stands at Governor Palin’s campaign stop today in Florida.
The Palm Beach Post reported:

More than four hours before Palin arrived, cars and golf carts jammed nearby roads and thousands of people clogged the Disneyesque Sumter Landing town center area to wait in the baking heat for a glimpse of Palin.

Palin T-shirts, buttons and hats – most of them making reference to lipstick, pit bulls, hockey or some combination of those elements – were everywhere. There were also people wearing McCain items, but usually with Palin’s name on them somewhere.

Deborah Abriola came from Orlando and wore a button that said “Don’t Let The Lipstick Fool You – Pitbulls for McCain-Palin” because she said she feels kinship with Palin as a fellow “lipstick mom.”

…Abriola described herself as a conservative Democrat who sees Palin as a role model for mothers.

Her friend, Cheryl LeDuc, said she’s a Republican but wants to see a shakeup in the GOP. She said Palin “is conservative and she’s going to clean up Washington, including the Republicans.”

Unlike their competition, it doesn’t look like the McCain-Palin camp had to offer beer or Marxist rock bands to lure in the supporters.

Bush Called For Reforms of Freddie and Fannie 17 Times

September 21, 2008 · Posted in Not Politics as Usual · Comments Off

For many years the President and his Administration have not only warned of the systemic consequences of financial turmoil at a housing government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) but also put forward thoughtful plans to reduce the risk that either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac would encounter such difficulties. President Bush publicly called for GSE reform 17 times in 2008 alone before Congress acted.

Unfortunately, these warnings went unheeded, as the President’s repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those who emphatically denied there were problems.

The White House release a list of attempts by President Bush to reform Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac since he took office in 2001. Unfortunately, Congress did not act on the president’s warnings.

Tancredo Proposes Anti-Sharia Measure

September 21, 2008 · Posted in Not Politics as Usual · Comments Off

It’s come to this that we have to protect our constitution from extremists:

WASHINGTON, DC – Amid disturbing revelations that the verdicts of Islamic Sharia courts are now legally binding in civil cases in the United Kingdom, U.S. Representative Tom Tancredo (R-CO) moved quickly today to introduce legislation designed to protect the United States from a similar fate.

According to recent news reports, a new network of Sharia courts in a half-dozen major cities in the U.K. have been empowered under British law to adjudicate a wide variety of legal cases ranging from divorces and financial disputes to those involving domestic violence.

“This is a case where truth is truly stranger than fiction,” said Tancredo. “Today the British people are learning a hard lesson about the consequences of massive, unrestricted immigration.”

Sharia law, favored by Muslim extremists around the world, often calls for brutal punishment – such as the stoning of women who are accused of adultery or have children out of wedlock, cutting off the hands of petty thieves and lashings for the casual consumption of alcohol. Under Sharia law, a woman is often required to provide numerous witnesses to prove rape allegations against an assailant – a near impossible task.

If Barack announced he was Chinese…

September 21, 2008 · Posted in Barak Obama, Thought for the Day · Comments Off

…would his followers believe him? What if he stood up before 10,000 people and stated flatly, “I am not black, I am Chinese,” would his kool-aid drinking followers accept it without question?

That kind of blatant lie is what Obama is reduced to – not even THE ONE can fathom that his sheeple hang on his every lying word. He’s told such whoopers lately that the communist rags The New York Times and The Washington Post have guffawed in amazement. Check this out:

In an editorial by the leftist New Hampshire Union-Leader, the observed:

On Thursday, Obama said of McCain, “He has consistently opposed the sorts of common-sense regulations that might have lessened the current crisis.” That’s entirely untrue.

As The Washington Post pointed out in an editorial on Friday, McCain in fact has supported many new regulations of financial institutions, including some that Obama opposed. “In 2006, he pushed for stronger regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — while Mr. Obama was notably silent,” The Post wrote.

That was a substantive re-arrangement of the facts by Obama. Newspapers aren’t buying it.

This isn’t a sly lipstick-on-a-pig comment. This is an outright accuse your opponent of doing what you actually did.

Said the Union-Leader:

[H]ere he is violating his own professed standards. This is not the Barack Obama so many voters in New Hampshire and elsewhere thought they knew. But it is the real Barack Obama. For despite his rhetoric, he is in fact campaigning so dishonestly that even The Washington Post and The New York Times have called him on it. Which means that he is in practice no different from those regular politicians against whom his entire campaign has been built.
